About Project
KEMCAANA is facilitating a collaborative initiative to strengthen advanced gastroenterology and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) services at Mayo Hospital, Lahore, one of Pakistan’s leading teaching hospitals.
The project aims to support the procurement of a state-of-the-art Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) system, with an estimated cost of $75,000. The equipment will expand the hospital’s capacity to diagnose and manage complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic, biliary, and submucosal diseases while providing enhanced training opportunities for physicians and trainees.
KEMCAANA’s role will include facilitating the procurement and delivery of the equipment, as well as supporting ongoing education and hands-on training of physicians, endoscopy staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and sustainable use of the technology.
This initiative represents an investment in long-term capacity building, advanced medical education, and improved access to specialized gastrointestinal care in Pakistan.
