KEMCAANA

At KEMCAANA, we unite King Edward Medical University graduates worldwide
to advance healthcare, education, and community service.

KEMCAANA has started this project to address the growing gap in access to well-trained, academically active physicians at King Edward Medical University (KEMU) and Mayo Hospital, Lahore. Over the years, due to various systemic and structural challenges, there has been a shortage of faculty with up-to-date clinical teaching experience—particularly in subspecialty and evidence-based practice areas. This project aims to bridge that gap through global alumni collaboration.

Through this initiative, physicians and healthcare professionals trained or practicing in North America—particularly KEMCAANA members—can contribute to the academic mission of their alma mater. Whether you’re visiting Lahore or prefer to teach remotely, your time and expertise can make a lasting impact on medical education and clinical care.

Participants can engage in:

• Web-based lectures or case-based discussions
• Hands-on clinical teaching during hospital visits
• Workshops, skill labs, and subspecialty lectures
• Faculty development and mentorship opportunities

1. Interested Kemcolians can register through the KEMCAANA website or express interest via email.
2. KEMCAANA will match volunteers with departments at KEMU/Mayo Hospital based on clinical specialty, teaching interest, and institutional needs.
3. For virtual sessions, KEMCAANA coordinates scheduling and provides Zoom/online platform support.
4. For in-person sessions, KEMCAANA helps arrange logistics in collaboration with local department heads.
